Week of October 30

The +10 Mindset - Collin College Counselor
Miss Garza, Collin College counselor,
 helps senior, Sydney Johnson, navigate
the college application process.

This year we are very excited to have an additional counselor at the high school.  Ms. Garza is a college admissions counselor for Collin College, and she is on the BRHS campus on Thursdays and Fridays for one specific purpose, to meet with and advise Blue Ridge High School students and parent on the college application process.

This position is funded 100% by Collin College, and Ms. Garza's role includes educating parents and students about the entire college admissions process, preparing for SAT/ACT/TSI tests, selecting the best college for your child's career pathway, navigating the scholarship process, completing the FAFSA, and bringing college representatives to Blue Ridge ISD.    We are very excited about the prospects that she and her position bring to Blue Ridge ISD.

If you would like to visit with Ms. Garza, we invite you to contact the high school, or Mrs. Kay to set up a meeting with her to learn more.  At Blue Ridge ISD, our goal is to prepare every student to be successful on the college and career goal of their choosing, and we are glad that Ms. Garza is a part of this plan.
